Questions
About the outfit forecast
- How does the outfit forecast work?
- It reads the hourly feels-like temperature for the hours you will be outside. The coldest hour decides the jacket and mid layer, the warmest decides the base layer, then rain and wind change the outer layer and shoes.
- Why feels-like instead of the real temperature?
- Feels-like already counts wind and humidity, which change how warm you actually are. 10 °C in a steady 30 km/h wind feels like about 7 °C.
- When should I check tomorrow's weather?
- The evening before. Next-day forecasts are usually accurate enough to lay an outfit out, then glance again in the morning.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. The outfit forecast needs no account. Matching it to your own clothes is part of Outfello's paid daily planner.
- What happens to my location?
- Only a coordinate rounded to about a kilometre is sent to look up the forecast, and nothing is stored with it. A city typed by name is matched against a local list of places.
